GTG Play Day At John Lewis
This Saturday, the Good Toy Guide team will be working with the John Lewis toy experts to share their unique insight into children’s play, toys and development throughout the day. They’ll be helping customers choose Christmas presents for their children that aren’t five minute wonders and will also be able to give advice on which toys to choose for children who may have particular needs.
Children will have the chance to play with some of the best toys around while their adults find out how play helps children develop while at the same time having fun, and the different skills that different toys promote.
The Play Day will take place in the Toy department, in the basement, on Saturday 30 November between 11am and 5.30pm.
Emma Whybrow, manager of the Toy department, says, “This is the first time that John Lewis has teamed up with the Good Toy Guide and we’re thrilled to be the first store in the John Lewis division to host a Play Day like this. We’re sure our customers, little as well as big, will appreciate the opportunity to play with our top ten toys and we’re looking forward to a great, fun-filled day.”
Amanda Gummer from the Good Toy Guide says, “We’re delighted to be able to work with John Lewis to help parents understand more about play and the toys they buy. It’s great to see a retailer taking such a caring approach to its customers”Tags: child development, christmas present, christmas toys, Dr Gummer, Gifts for Children, John Lewis, learning through play, parenting, Play Advice, play diet, play ideas, top toys, Toy Retailers, toys
