July 31, 2017 Published by

Dr. Amanda Gummer has dedicated her life to working with children and families in a variety of settings since 1993.

As well as running a family support charity in London and teaching children with special educational needs in Hong Kong, she has also worked as an Associate Lecturer in Child Development for the Open University.

Dr Amanda established the children’s research consultancy, FUNdamentals, back in 2004 to provide insight and consultation on child development matters with a particular focus on play and parenting.

10 years later, Fundamentals grew to become Fundamentally Children, which is the parent brand to the Good Toy Guide and Good App Guide, welcoming over 30,000 web visitors a month and boasts a strong social media following of over 20,000.

Dr Amanda recently sat down with parenting expert, Sue Atkins, to speak about the inception of Fundamentally Children and how it has grown into one of the most trusted and respected brands in the Children’s Toy and App industry today.
