What is it

What our experts think
This was a nice and simple game for children to practice their addition and subtraction skills. Each game is quite short which means that children can dip in and out of playing easily. Our testers enjoyed having a platformer game to break up the maths quiz, but it would have been good if this was longer. It’s great that the easier levels have number lines and squares that children can refer to, so they can work out the answer.
We like that there is no time pressure – this is good for children who are less confident, although parents can introduce a timer to help speed up their mental maths. Being able to choose the difficulty level is a good way to cater to different abilities, although it’s not very clear what each difficulty level is (e.g. single + single digit) and we found that there is quite a big jump between the levels – so children are unlikely to progress quickly through these.
