What is it
Duckie Deck Gotta Go brings a humorous, toddler-friendly twist to toilet duties. The app teaches your toddler the how-to’s of going number two, with the help of funny characters and a maze of toilet tubes. With the help of Gotta Go and our other hygiene apps parents can practice wholesome routines with their toddlers, forming good habits that will continue into the future.

What our experts think
Predictably the children found this very funny and we like that the ‘poop’ is a multi-coloured ball, as it gets the message across without being disgusting! Children followed the pattern of eating, going to the toilet, wiping and flushing and this is a great way for them to practise this routine.
Understanding hygiene and self care is important for children to become independent. There is also a puzzle to guide the poop through the pipes, helping children develop their logical thinking and fine motor skills.
It would be even better if...
After watching the monster do a ‘number two’ and wipe himself, children are expected to high-five him! A few pointed out that he should have washed his hands first – as well as making the high-five more celebratory and less off-putting, it would teach children the important practise of washing your hands after the toilet.
