What is it
Match and Find is an an app aimed at children with a range of special needs, from communication problems to poor fine motor skills.
In this app, users have to match the animals on the screen in a range of different activities. These range from matching the animals on the screen to finding the ‘hidden’ pairs. The animal names are also spoken as children touch the correct pairs.
The settings are hugely customisable to suit individual needs, including the number of items on screen and the colours.

What our experts think
The simplicity of this app makes it perfect for its target audience, as there are no distractions and the players can purely focus on the task in hand. Our testers were very pleased with themselves every time they got the right answer! Match and Find helps build children’s confidence in their abilities, and lets them practise recognising and comparing animals, while developing vocabulary.
The games require a certain level of concentration for the children to achieve, which is good for developing attention skills. The games are short, so children can keep going back to them over and over again. We really liked how parents can customise the settings to suit their child, including choosing from different levels of difficulty.
It would be even better if...
As there was no parent gate, it was easy for the users to click on the parts that they didn’t need to access (like the settings)!
