Our younger testers needed some support to set up the track, but the older ones managed on their own and found the letter coded pieces really helpful. They loved racing the cars around the track as quickly as they could, and through trial and error worked out how best to use their controller to prevent the cars being derailed. The lap counter/booby trap was a popular feature but needed to be adjusted. However, this didn’t take away any of the fun.

Our testers were excited to build this visually appealing vehicle and soon realised they needed to focus, think logically, and work through the instructions systematically to achieve the outcome they wanted. The children teamed up to build the model together which gave them the chance to develop their communication and social skills as they came up with a plan of action and overcame obstacles together. Building sets like this are great for helping to strengthen muscles in the hands, wrists, and arms, and for building children’s manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
