What our expert thinks

Our testers were repeatedly curious about what they could do with the Picasso Tiles building set. The colours, the quick magnetic connection, and forms that easily took shape is a big draw for repeat play and innovation. Children were eager to learn all the capabilities of the pieces and how to build recognisable objects. The ease of making the magnetic connections supported immediate confidence to start building. Our testers particularly enjoyed creating their own structures and contributing to what other children built. Witnessing their creativity fused with logical thinking was fantastic. Making the connections with the magnetic tiles is easy and encourages building and rebuilding more complex structures and objects over time. Picasso Tiles sparks creativity, builds logical thinking, promotes language, supports fine motor/perceptual development, and encourages perseverance. While this toy is fun and beneficial for pre-school aged children, it is also attractive and pertinent to primary school aged children.
