Description
Beaker Creatures® is a range of science-themed collectibles.
After travelling through space in their Reactor Pods from their tiny distant planets, Beaker Creatures have landed on Earth in search of science adventures. By dissolving the Reactor Pods kids can discover, classify, and explore 35 collectible characters from five different families. The signature Liquid Reactor Super Lab reveals dozens of unique and adorable characters including Astrolytes, Frostonians, Oceanites, Buglettes and Minisaurs.
Children can then take on the role of scientist, identifying their creatures with classification cards, and exploring their worlds through fun science facts and amazing experiments. There are also rare mystery figures as part of each series that encourage further experimentation and collection.
The Beaker Creatures sets double as working lab sets, complete with science experiments that encourage hands-on learning.
The Beaker Creatures range comes in eye catching packaging and includes individual reactor pods containing one of 35 collectible characters, The Liquid Reactor Super Lab set, Magnification Chamber set and a 2 – Reactor Pod pack with Bio Home.

What our experts think
A fun, educational toy that the children really enjoyed playing with. There was lots for children to do and learn as they engaged with the product – they loved filling the tubes with water and using the pump (although this was a little hard). There was also scope for developing children’s scientific knowledge as they tried to describe and explain what was happening. This builds understanding of cause and effect logic, which compliments learning of different processes and reactions in science at school, it also teaches observation skills and improves attention and concentration.
The set was easy to assemble and the instructions were clear – there was a lot of excitement as the children set up the ‘experiment’ and waited for the result. We found that it is a good idea to have an adult check that everything is correctly in place before the children start. It is quite messy but this added to the creative appeal for the children; with this in mind, it would make a great outdoor toy. Our testers would have liked more than two reactor pods per set – although extra can be purchased separately to add on.
