Description

Inspired by the hit educational YouTube Kids and Netflix series, CoComelon. This interactive doll allows children to engage in their own early learning adventures with JJ. He comes dressed in his adorable “Learn with Me!” shirt and is holding his light-up learning block and musical radio in his hands.

Children will love playing with JJ as he teaches them their ABC’s, 123’s, and colours. Children can learn colour recognition by pressing the blue cube in JJ’s hand to watch it light up and hear him say the name of the colour. His block even lights up to the beat of the music. Squeeze JJ’s left foot to learn letters. JJ will say the letter and word starting with that letter: A is for Apple! Squeeze JJ’s right foot to learn numbers and counting. JJ will say the number and count to it.

What our testers said

“It’s a good learning all-rounder as it incorporates maths & literacy elements in colours, numbers and letters” – Childminder of children aged 1 to 3

“It’s much easier for younger children to play with it being this size. It’s great it’s educational and can teach children colours, counting and the alphabet.” – Childminder of children aged 1 and 2

What our experts think

The Learning JJ Doll has lots for little ones to look at, listen to and explore. The fact it’s based on a popular, fan favourite character means it’s great for encouraging younger children to engage in learning. It does this by capturing their curiosity and introducing them to cause and effect, e.g. learning to press a button to result in a song playing.

The music itself also encourages children to move, dance and sing which develops physical skills such as coordination and cognitive skills such as memory and attention. Although the toy may benefit from having more than two songs, it offers four different interactive features that incorporate numeracy, literacy and creativity – the flashing colour cube, musical radio button and letters and numbers on the doll’s feet.
