The 12 Piece DENA Silicone Play set consists of 6 people pieces and 6 house pieces and is available in neon and pastel.

Dena from Hippychick is a safe, simple and smart toy, suitable from babies to all ages. Their toys are made of food-grade platinum silicone, the same high-quality material as dummies, teethers and baking moulds. They can be used as teethers, for stacking, baking or as a puzzle which encourages children to play in a more imaginative way.

Platinum silicone is a soft, strong, bacteria resistant, hypoallergenic and BPA-free material and 100% safe. It resists temperatures from minus 60º C to 220º C. It can be used in the freezer, oven and is dishwasher safe. Due to its minimalist and timeless design, this toy can be used by babies, pre-schoolers and beyond in many diverse ways. The flexible material allows the pieces to be turned inside out to form various figures.

What our experts think

These brightly coloured silicone toys are ideal for encouraging little ones to experiment and engage in creative play. As little ones pull, squish and slot together the soft shapes, they are developing their hand-eye coordination and the important muscles in their fingers, as well as stimulating their natural curiosity.

The open-ended play opportunities the silicone shapes offer allow them to be used for a variety of activities such as teething, stacking, sorting or as part of a sensory tray. As your child grows, they can even be used for baking too. They are easy for small hands to grip and we also found the children instinctively tended to colour match the different toys, showing early colour recognition and logical thinking skills.
