Description
Call Duggee and the Squirrels! with this Hey Duggee Flip & Learn Phone from Trends.
The play phone has a backlit screen and asks children to find numbers and colours, listen to greetings and pretend to take pictures. The prompts encourage them to listen to questions and follow a sequence by selecting the appropriate button. There’s plenty of encouragement to ‘try again’ and hear fun sounds!
What our testers said
“There’s two! How are you daddy?” – Boy aged 2
“Hello?” – Girl aged 19 months
What our experts think
The Hey Duggee flip and learn phone is a great way to engage little ones in imaginative role-play and also help them to recognise colours and numbers. Our testers enjoyed listening to the squirrels and responding by repeating and pressing the buttons. Repetition is a key way of learning at this age and the phone gives lots of opportunities to do this.
The children also enjoyed pretending to talk to their parents or family members on the phone – this is a great form of imaginative play as it gives little ones the opportunity to recreate real-life scenarios and this teaches them about the world around them. One of the children even waved his hands around as he took his ‘important’ call!
