Description
Waddling Wade is designed with bright, contrasting patterns; a pull to make Wade’s duck feet waddle along; a chime which sounds when shaken; a mirror, hidden under the layered wings, to play peek a boo with, and a squeaker to surprise baby! The toy also contains multiple textures, shapes and crinkles to encourage baby to explore.
The Lamaze clip lets you hook Wade to strollers, carriers and changing bags to take him along for on-the-go fun.

What our experts think
The babies got really excited when they saw Wade and were immediately drawn to the vibrant colours; the contrasting patterns really attracted baby’s eyes. Our little testers liked putting the toy in their mouths, the variety of different textures to explore provides lots of opportunities for sensory development in addition to promoting fine motor control and dexterity. The babies were mesmerised by the duck’s moving feet, this elicited lots of giggles and squeals for more!
Wade offers lots of different features for the children to interact with, at times they found something by mistake and were delighted by the outcome (one baby kicked his legs when he managed to find the squeaker). This type of trial and error learning also teaches cause and effect, i.e. when I squeeze his tail, he quacks. The mirror also provides an opportunity for development of self-awareness. The option of clipping the toy to a buggy or carrier also provides opportunities for gross motor development, as baby is encouraged to reach out or kick her legs to reach Wade.
