Description
Money Match Cafe game encourages children to create a cafe scene using their own teddies, dolls and toys. After they have done this, they must use their role playing skills to add up the coins to match the price of a meal and serve it to the correct customer. The player to serve all of their meals first wins!
Children will love playing waiter in this fun game and serving tasty meals to their toys is bound to get them giggling – a great way to make learning about money fun!

What our experts think
Our testers really enjoyed this game and loved the fact that it involved their own toys. We really liked that there was a simple and accessible version to start children off and then a version which uses coins. This is good for developing children’s practical knowledge and understanding of money; children will learn to recognise coins and add up amounts in a fun and engaging way.
The game is easy to play and lots of fun: our testers loved bringing the food to the tables and counting the money. Real world imaginative play like this builds upon role playing skills and creativity and develops a child’s understanding of the world around them. Some of them spent a long time setting up their cafe! As well as the mathematical skills, the game also develops skills associated with turn taking and following instructions, promoting communication and attention. Our only criticism was that some of the testers found the table unstable.
