Description

What our experts think

The Geomag Pro-L set is great for encouraging children to create their own shapes and develop their understanding of magnetism. It was very popular with our testers who were a variety of ages, and the instructions were easy to follow in helping them build the constructions. Experimenting with the balls and rods helped engage the children with magnetism and polarity, as they worked out which ones attracted and which ones repelled through trial and error.

Construction sets like this are excellent for promoting creativity – the children enjoyed working in pairs and using their imaginations to construct other things such as a boat and helicopter. Creating different 3D shapes also help to build maths skills as children learn to identify their properties and name them.
