What our experts think
Jigsaw puzzles are a great way of refining important logical thinking skills and the Camp Gibsons puzzle encourages children to use these to form the colourful camp scene. Our testers used colour and shape recognition to match different areas of the puzzle together and to give themselves an idea of where pieces should be positioned, before then using trial and error to find the correct place.
Fitting the different pieces together challenged hand-eye coordination and the children also enjoyed working together as a team to complete the finished puzzle. We liked that there is lots going on in the scene to spark discussion and engagement – some of our testers even played “I Spy” with it once it was complete!
