What our experts think
The Dino Lab set is great for encouraging children to develop their scientific thinking through discovery. Our testers loved getting messy and digging to find the fossil – they worked together as a team, following the instructions.
Giving children ownership of experiments like this is great as it really empowers them to develop their knowledge. This worked well particularly with this set, as it was easy to use and so not a great deal of adult help was needed. Our testers said they felt like real scientists as they experimented with the amber slime! The instruction booklet also included some quizzes and facts which generated some good discussion about prehistoric times and why dinosaurs are not around today.
