What is it
The Lamaze Grab & Hide Ball™ is a floor toy featuring a variety of sounds, textures, and bright colours that engage your baby through play. The easy-to-grip sections allow baby to hold, roll and push the ball and the tethered elephant and lion are great for playing hide and seek. Pull on one and the other will hide inside the ball. Later on, the rolling ball’s chiming sounds encourage a growing baby to crawl after it. The Lamaze Grab & Hide Ball is designed for parent and baby to play with together when baby is younger, and then later for independent play as baby grows.
Baby touches and feels different textures with each section of the ball. There are hidden crinkles, squeakers and rattles along with clanky rings to grab and hold. Three characters hide inside the ball for baby to find, two are attached and hide and appear when pulled on.

What our experts think
The soft, fabric Tomy Grab and Hide Ball is perfect for little hands and provides multi-sensory stimulation for baby, helping to focus their senses and engage their attention. The ball encouraged grabbing and pushing which strengthens big muscles in the arms and legs, leading to baby learning to crawl after it.
The variety of sounds, textures and bright colours really engaged our testers and stimulated development as they were encouraged to explore. Toys like this help to introduce early cause and effect logic, as baby begins to understand that shaking different sections results in a crinkle or rattling noise. The hide and seek animals are also fantastic for this, as each one disappears when pulled – this makes the toy great for parent and baby to play with together.
