What is it
Dancing eggs is a great game for children (and great fun for adults too!). The aim of the game is to ‘pinch’ as many eggs as possible and collect lots of points.
It’s a game of quick responses – be the first to crow like a cockerel, grab the dice, catch the bouncing egg, run round the table and get back to your chair, and then place the rubber egg you’ve won into various knooks and crannies on your body – under the chin, between your knees, in your armpit. Then the game begins again, and the challenge is to be just as quick, but this time with the added handicap of trying not to drop the egg. Chaos will ensue, eggs will be stolen, there will be much laughing and silliness. And be warned. One game will never be enough!

What our experts think
There was lots of laughter from the children while playing Dancing Eggs! They really enjoyed the challenge of keeping hold of their eggs and became very competitive too. Games like Dancing Eggs are great for encouraging children to play together, helping develop social skills, and also learn how to win and lose respectfully.
This game also gets children up and about, grabbing and throwing eggs, helping get them active and developing physical skills such as co-ordination and speed. It gets players to do silly performances too, like crowing like a cockerel, helping build children’s confidence and allowing them to laugh at themselves!
