This kit introduces children to different concepts of weather, engaging their creativity and logical thinking as they take part in real-life experiments! Our testers followed the pictorial and colour-coded instructions to help them match up the pieces for the experiments and they used their hand-eye coordination as they connected the parts together.
It was lovely to see the children get active and excited as they ran outdoors with the wind gauge to measure the wind. This kind of active learning engages children while developing their understanding of important science concepts covered in the National Curriculum. It also promoted discussion – measuring different temperatures led to talk about holidays in different climates. Relating the concepts to real-world examples worked great in developing the children’s understanding of them.
