What our experts think
This tractor and loader is a great addition to any farmyard set – our little testers had lots of fun playing with it alongside their farm animals. The children enjoyed loading things into the trailer and moving them from one part of the room to another (this is good for encouraging active play). They also liked trying to pick things up using the ‘claw’ at the front. We liked that there were interchangeable parts, this added to the creative play opportunities.
The toy encouraged lots of dialogue – the children verbalised their storytelling and asked questions. Our testers were interested to know what the different parts of the tractor were called and what they did; adult interaction provides the opportunity for children to develop their vocabulary and knowledge of working farms. The product is well made and robust and would be suitable for playing with both inside and out.
