What is it
The concept of Newmero bricks is to understand abstract, decimal numbers by touching, building and decomposing them.
The innovative design helps the children to solve problems and find the solutions.
For example, the bricks can show that 9 is bigger than 5. The children can find the “Friends of TEN” by fitting the sides together like a puzzle. The children can literally see that 534 is just a number of 500 + 30 + 4.
It can be difficult for young children to understand numbers when they are simply written on a piece of paper. Many young children need to feel and experience numbers by themselves to learn numbers and basic maths.
The Newmero bricks consist of high quality, BPA-free plastic. You get also a free handy cotton bag for storing or travelling with the bricks. The bricks have been designed with children for children.
The bricks are designed to help solving exercises. With the bricks, the kids can easily learn the decimal system including: – Identify and build numbers. – C…

What our experts think
The Newmero bricks provide a great way of encouraging children to continue their numeracy learning – practising their counting, addition and subtraction and reinforcing their concept of numbers. They are the perfect size for little fingers, as well as being tactile and colourful.
Our testers liked the design of the bricks and how you can use them in different ways – stacking them, fitting them together and counting the ridges. The children found the different games you could play were engaging, with this also teaching about taking turns and winning and losing. Younger ones did need adult input for the games, however, our testers found this worked well as a fun and interactive way of practising maths skills.
