What is it
Players can use the tiles and the key Multi-Choice tile, which can be changed as needed to create equations using addition, subtraction, multiplication or division and equals. Players take turns making number sequences and can build off tiles already played by opponents. The goal is to get the highest score, which is tallied from each equation played. Level of difficulty totally depends on the players, whether they want to achieve some high scores or just create simple sums. Numenko provides flexibility in the way the game is played.

What our experts think
This game includes mathematical skills as well as logic, problem solving and is great for encouraging children’s strategic thinking. The mixture of skill (maths and strategy skills) and luck (what tiles a player has) gives children the motivation to concentrate to try to win whilst preventing too much self-criticism if a child loses. The simple game play enables children to quickly learn the tactics and master the game, greatly increasing their chance of winning against a novice which hosts confidence and encourages perseverance.
