What is it
Playmags are brightly coloured construction tiles, held together by strong magnetic edges.
The 100-piece set includes a car base and eight different shapes so that kids can now stretch their imagination to the next level. More shapes mean more designs, and more designs means more hours of fun play.

What our experts think
We were really impressed by Playmags, which were an instant favourite with every one of our testers. The bright, translucent colours were appealing – they weren’t ‘babyish’ so they appealed to children from pre-school age all the way up to year six. The tiles were easy to use (some children needed to work out how the magnets connected – which promoted curiosity and was a great learning opportunity) and putting them together helps young children develop hand-eye coordination.
Children were excited to see so many tiles and shapes to choose from and this is a great way to inspire creativity; straight away they were building trains, tents – even a six-storey mansion! Experimenting with designs is a great way to encourage creativity, as well as logical thinking and problem solving in order to build a successful structure.
