What is it
The object of the game is to get your turtle to land on a gem. Everyone who succeeds in doing this wins. There’s no “first to a gem wins” concept. The children do this by playing instructions to move forward, turn left or right, shoot a laser, and create functions to combine several instructions into one. Eventually, they need to work around walls, melt ice towers, and push boxes in order to get to the gems.
This game isn’t just about competition but about having fun. Children also get to see the adults make silly noises and boss them about.

What our experts think
This is a fantastic game with lots of different levels and it was great to see children developing their skills and understanding as they unlocked more advanced features. We like how this game specifically includes an adult as the computer and the children as the coders as the children lead the game and boost confidence and communication skills whilst telling the adult what to do. A bit of role-reversal is great for children and parents should resist the urge to do anything other than what they are told!
We also liked the creativity aspect (available on the think fun website) whereby children are able to create their own quests and use the game pieces to play out their imaginary mission.
