What is it
This wooden stacking game helps to develop dexterity and co-ordination. Each player takes it in turns to roll the dice and then places a counter onto the cat according to the dice e.g. if a blue cat tail is rolled, the player must place a blue counter onto the cat’s tail. The game continues for as long as you can without the stack of counters failing over. The winner is the first person who places all of their available counters onto the cat without the counters falling off! Play this fun game independently or as a group and test your stacking skills.

What our experts think
Children loved the challenge of seeing how many counters they could balance before they all fell off – with a lot of giggling when they did! Balancing the counters is a great way to develop hand-eye coordination, the pincer grip (using thumb and forefinger, which is useful for holding a pencil), and concentration.
We like that this is a simple way to introduce children to playing board games, which is ideal for learning social skills such as taking turns.
It would be even better if...
The die could be bigger, so the images are clearer, but our testers did enjoy the game with or without the die (just taking turns). We also found that the counters were knocked off quite easily, when rolling the die or by other players, so it may be better for younger children to play on their own to avoid frustration.
