What our experts think
Ticket to Ride London is an interesting game that encourages children to think strategically and tactically. Our testers enjoyed working out where the different areas of London are and what landmarks are nearby, to see if they had visited that area. This is great for building their geography knowledge and also helps children in a practical sense, to learn about the world around them.
The children liked choosing the cards and deciding which way to go on their journey across London, this gave them a sense of independence. Although the game took a while to play, the children stayed focused the whole time, which is ideal for improving their attention and concentration skills. Our testers did find that the game was best played in a quiet area away from any noise or distractions so the children were able to concentrate.
