What is it
Who’s Bluffing? ® is a card game for adults and children. Improve your general knowledge through bluffing, laughs and strategies!
Each player is allocated five cards, these can be from any city but ‘should’ relate back to the ruler card, e.g. England. If players do not have a card in relation to the ruler card, they can pick another card from the deck or ‘bluff’ the other players and pretend they do – this is a risky strategy because if you get caught, you must pick up ALL of the cards in the pile! Whoever gets rid of all their cards first, wins. Do your research before or have your best bluffing face on to convince other players.
There are currently three versions including: English Cities and Towns, US Cities and Towns, and European Cities and Towns.

What our experts think
A game that encourages children to lie…this is the element our testers liked the best! It also means you don’t have to be a Geography genius to play; but children soon realised that remembering a few cities (from class, or from playing the game before) was definitely a bonus. As well as learning to think strategically when bluffing, children also practised their Geography knowledge along the way – the facts on the cards were a nice addition too. One group of girls adapted the game and played their own version of snap; it was great to see them developing their own rules and developing the game play.
We liked that the game could be played in a small or large group and can be played by older children and even adults, promoting social play and teaching children to win and lose respectfully. The instructions can be tricky when children first get started, so an adult might need to help with this. We also felt that the writing on the cards could have been bigger!
