What is it
A worm has fallen out of the apple tree and can’t stop wobbling!
In this up-and-active game, players try to hoop their rings onto the 3-foot-tall worm as he wobbles back and forth. The object of the game is to be the first player to hoop your three rings over the Wobbly Worm! The height can be adjusted for older or younger players (up to 3 feet tall). The set includes nine rings in varying sizes and three different colours.
Requires two C batteries (not included).

What our experts think
The children really liked the look of the game and found it amusing (there was lots of giggling as they played!). One of our favourite parts was the fact that it got the children up and encouraged them to move – many of them wiggled along with the worm and they had to move around to make sure they were in the best position to throw their hoop. The game was more challenging than they initially thought; it is a good way to develop children’s hand eye co-ordination and for promoting perseverance. The older children who tested it became quite competitive and were determined to beat one another!
We liked the way in which the worm could be extended depending on the height of the children, and that the amount of movement could also be controlled, varying the difficulty of the game to keep it interesting. We did find that children weren’t sure where to stand when throwing their hoops – an adult might want to give some guidance on this when children first play. We also found that the motor was quite noisy but it didn’t affect play.
