What our experts think
This giant floor puzzle is great for encouraging children to work together and teaching them about the world around them. Our testers were keen to get started, forming the edges first and then taking time to put the rest together. Puzzles are fantastic for children’s development as they promote logical thinking and spatial awareness as they work out which piece should go where. As they completed the puzzle successfully, there was also a great sense of achievement. Trying to match the animals to the correct country also required the children to work together and engaged them in learning about their habitat. This added educational value as it encouraged discussion between the children and their peers – they really enjoyed hearing the extra facts about the animals that were included in the booklet. Although some of our younger testers did need assistance from an adult or their elder siblings to successfully complete the puzzle, this did not detract from their enjoyment of it.
