What our experts think
This game is a great way to encourage healthy competition and turn-taking, while developing Numeracy skills.
The children enjoyed collecting the animals and the cards encouraged them to use maths vocabulary, such as “more than” and “less than”. This is also great for developing their concentration and observation skills.
Some of the younger players needed some adult support, especially when reading the cards and understanding the rules of the game. However, there are several different ways to play which keeps children engaged and they enjoyed competing to win apple rewards which reinforces the concept of winning and losing.
