“I like the fact that it is gender neutral.” Mum of an eight month old
“The mirror gives a good refection back, it isn’t distorted like lots of other baby mirrors.” Mum of a five month old
Little hands will find this cute mirror easy to grab and hold. Mirrors are a great way of teaching baby about themselves and for letting them learn through exploration – baby will begin to recognise not only themselves but also the different parts of their face. It was lovely to watch the little ones smiling as they caught sight of themselves and began to develop their self-awareness.
The mirror is a good size, it is light weight and is well shaped to allow baby to pick it up and hold it. Our testers did throw it, but luckily it is robust and withstood this! This builds fine and gross motor skills, strengthening hand and arm muscles and promoting hand-eye coordination. We also liked the fact that it was safe for baby to explore the mirror with their mouths as well as with their hands and eyes, as sensory exploration is great for stimulating and developing the brain at this age.
– Develops fine motor control
– Teaches children about self awareness
