"I beat your score Mummy!" Girl, aged 7

"I like the colouring game and the puzzles." Boy, aged 5
Bored Bear is full of friendly characters and offers a wide range of games to choose from. It is quick and easy to set up and parents appreciated that it is completely ad free, allowing children to play independently without worries about accidental purchases or the need for constant supervision.

With plenty of choice, from jigsaws and colouring games to early literacy and numeracy activities, and featuring familiar brands such as LOL, Little Tikes and Hello Kitty, there was something for everyone. Games vary in difficulty, making the app suitable for both younger and older children. The option to set the age range to under or over 6 means it can grow with a child or be shared by siblings. The fun music and sound effects were enjoyed by the children and helped keep them engaged.

Many games include helpful audio instructions and visual prompts, but some lacked clear guidance or helpful hints, leaving children unsure what to do and needing help from a grown up. Parents commented that once games are downloaded they can be played offline, which they found particularly useful when out and about or travelling. In general, a fun app enjoyed by a variety of ages.
