What our experts think
A realistic and detailed set of figures which are a great addition to any farm play set! Our testers played with these alongside other similar products – they got creative and found a turf sport which they transformed into a farm. This kind of imaginative play is great for acting out and making sense of different scenarios, and role playing helps children to develop their personal, social and emotional skills.
The children returned to these figures many times, setting up various farming scenes. They enjoyed making the different figures around the farm talk to each other: this verbalising of their play develops oral storytelling skills (an important precursor to writing stories). It also helps children to build their vocabulary and develop their knowledge and understanding of life on a farm.
