What our experts think
A board game that combines maths with zombie hunting and as our testers observed, it’s much more fun to do sums when it means you kill a zombie! This is a great way to motivate children to engage with maths, and helps to build problem-solving skills. The children also enjoyed playing as a team – this is a fantastic non-competitive way of building skills like communication and cooperation.
While the instructions were a bit tricky to understand at first, once our testers got it set up and had played couple of rounds, the game flowed and the whole family enjoyed it. The different levels of Maths cards mean that the game is suited to different abilities and this helps as children progress with their numeracy skills.
The ‘Times Square’ add-on game also gives you the option to extend the fun and maths learning, by challenging children to use their times tables to defeat the zombies
