What our experts think
Our little testers loved this toy – there was lots of fun to be had with Peppa as they pressed the buttons and sung along; we observed a lot of giggles as they played! They particularly enjoyed putting in all of the coins and emptying them out again, which teaches early cause and effect logic. Toys that promote repetitive movements (i.e. posting coins) are also great for improving hand-eye coordination and following Peppa’s instructions promotes children’s listening and concentration skills.
As the children played, they practised their counting and colour recognition alongside their matching skills. This is great for honing important skills in maths and science, complementing pre-school and school curriculums. We found that the toy was intuitive and the children naturally knew what to do, however the coins were a little small for some of the younger children to handle.
