Make the perfect pancakes with the pretend play Wooden Pancake Set from Early Learning Centre.
Great for creating recipe ideas and encouraging little bakers, children can whip up lots of delicious pancakes with this fun set. They can butter the pan and then practise flipping their smiley pancakes with the wooden spatula, making sure they are cooked on both sides. Then, they can choose which topping they will add to their pancakes.
Perfect for gifting, this colourful wooden set encourages pretend play and inspires the imagination.

What our experts think
This lovely wooden cooking set has everything little chefs will need to role-play making pancakes. Our testers were keen to explore what was in the set, and quickly began to make their pancakes, talking through the steps they were taking and having conversations with each other about what they like to have on their pancakes. The butter is in three segments connected by velcro and the children enjoyed slicing it apart with the knife, which is great for their hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills, and squeezing the fabric lemon to get the ‘juice’ out helps to develop hand strength.
All of the testers were engrossed in their imaginative play for long periods of time and those who were playing together got to practice their turning taking and sharing skills as they waited for their turn with the frying pan, spatula, knife etc. A really popular set that children didn’t want to stop playing with!
