These blocks proved a big hit with our testers – enabling them to build a wide range of constructions (cars, seesaws, tractors, a spanner and even some microphones!) There are a lot of pieces meaning that there is a lot of opportunities for imaginative play and creativity.
The pieces were perfect for little hands – easy to fit together and pull apart. Moving and building with blocks like these helps to strengthen important hand and finger muscles, which improves fine motor control and also helps to refine hand-eye coordination. Construction toys are great as they encourage young children to start using trial and error and problem solving to fit different pieces together. The bold and bright colours also provided a great platform for teaching and reinforcing colour recognition, with the different shape pieces promoting shape recognition. This is ideal for toddlers as they progress towards pre-school.
