Beautifully illustrated floor puzzle with 30 pieces including 8 templates, cut in the shape of the characters or objects. There are so many interesting things to find in this puzzle that children will return to it time and time again. The large, easy to handle pieces are made in thick board with a wipe-clean surface.

This brightly coloured and engaging puzzle is great for encouraging early logical thinking skills as children work out where the different pieces go to make the farmyard scene. We enjoyed watching our testers use their colour and shape recognition to identify the correct areas for the pieces. Some of the younger children did need a bit of adult help to get them going – one of our carers assisted with some of the edge pieces before leaving them to do the rest.
The fun farmyard scene and large animal shapes also encouraged the children to share stories about the farm as they worked together to complete the puzzle. This is a great extension for their communication and storytelling skills – there was even a singalong of ‘Old MacDonald’!
