Hot Wheels STEAM Drop & Score is a fun, construction play set with allows children to experiment with exciting scientific concepts and develop problem-solving skills. As they construct the track and test all the moving parts, children learn to think logically and use trial and error to construct it successfully.
The accompanying lesson plan provides extra content to help children engage in learning about the scientific concepts of forces and kinetic energy, by using a pendulum. While younger children did need some adult guidance to engage with the lesson plans fully, this did not detract from their enjoyment and older children were able to participate independently. Bringing scientific concepts into the real world is a great way to help children cement their learning and develop STEM skills such as leadership, creative problem-solving and perseverance.
