The Mighty Fire Truck sparked instant excitement among our testers, especially thanks to its working hose that squirts real water. Children were immediately drawn to the sound effects and interactive features, with the hose being the clear favourite. Some needed a little help at first, particularly with adjusting the ladder and hose, but once they understood how it worked, they stayed engaged and eager to explore.
Our testers became fully absorbed in their play for long periods of time, creating imaginative rescue missions and incorporating action figures into detailed storytelling. This type of play helps build creative thinking and communication skills.
The water squirting hose helps develop hand strength and coordination through controlled pressing. During group play interaction was strong, with children taking turns, sharing roles (firefighter, rescued person, etc.), and negotiating the direction of play together. Understanding cause and effect – pumping the hose makes water squirt out, and pressing the buttons creates sounds – added to the children’s curiosity and encouraged repeat play. With its movable parts, extendable ladder and realistic features, the truck encourages hands-on exploration and problem solving, offering a richer play experience than basic toy vehicles.
