“Ready, steady… GO!” - Boy, aged 3
The Let's Play Scalextric race set is a great way to introduce young children to healthy competition and our testers were very eager to get stuck in! The adjustable speed settings allowed the younger players to build confidence, keeping the cars on track without constant crashes. Occasionally the cars did fly off the track, but this only added to the excitement and laughter. The children loved racing against each other, quickly learning (through trial and error) how best to navigate bends, adjust speed and control their cars.
Assembling the track was slightly fiddly and required some adult help, but children enjoyed helping to identify pieces and felt proud once it was complete. Building the track and controlling the cars are great ways to help develop fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. With children repeatedly coming back to play, the Let's Play Scalextric race set proved to be a fun, engaging and also educational play experience.
