"What shall we build next? Let's just use the red and yellow blocks this time." - Girl, aged 6
"Taking the blocks out is fun, like Jenga." - Boy, aged 7
The Cardboard Building Blocks arrive flat packed in the box and require assembly, which many of our testers found tricky, so adult help is definitely needed at the start. Once built, however, the blocks became an instant favourite. Children loved stacking, balancing and constructing with them, and the included activity suggestions added an extra layer of fun, supporting colour recognition, rule-following and even a Jenga style game that encouraged trial and error learning.
As they experimented with how to balance the blocks and adapted their approach when structures toppled, children developed key skills such as problem solving, spatial reasoning, hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills. The open-ended nature of the set also sparked lots of imaginative and creative play; our testers used the blocks to build everything from dinosaur enclosures to life sized people!
A versatile, hands-on construction set that inspires creativity, resilience and playful learning.
