“Whoa, this is amazing… there are two of them!” - 8 year old boy
“I can’t wait to take my own book into the Mainstay under the stars!” - 45 year old parent of 13 year old
Our testers were immediately drawn to the Big Bijou Bundle and quickly began exploring its different climbing and balancing features. They experimented with a variety of routes, naturally developing problem-solving skills as they worked out how to move safely between sections. The structure provided plenty of opportunities to build gross motor skills, balance and coordination, while younger testers showed excellent perseverance, returning to more challenging elements and gradually gaining confidence through repeated attempts. It was rewarding to see children adapting their movements and celebrating their progress as they mastered new skills.
As play developed, children used the structure in increasingly imaginative ways, creating obstacle courses, adventure challenges and their own active games. During group play they communicated well, negotiated turns and shared ideas, helping to develop cooperation and social skills. The open-ended design encourages active, creative play and offers plenty of variety, making the Big Bijou Bundle an engaging play system that children were keen to return to again and again.
