“I am fixing the tractor.” Boy, aged 3
"I'm going to take the tractor to the farm!” Girl, aged 4
Our testers found the toy to be fun and engaging, encouraging them to think, build and play creatively. Children really enjoyed using the chunky wrench to take the tractor apart and put it back together again, developing their fine motor skills and hand strength along the way. It was easy to use for small hands, and the colourful design made it even more appealing.
Children showed great focus and independence as they worked out how to reassemble the pieces – using trial and error until they managed to successfully fit everything into place on their own. This process supported their logical thinking and problem solving skills, and the illustrated leaflet encouraged children to count the parts and match them to the pictures, supporting early math development.
Once built, the tractor became part of the children’s imaginative farm play, often accompanied by storytelling and role play. Many children repeated the building process several times, growing in speed and confidence with each attempt and enjoying the satisfaction of seeing their efforts come to life.
