A brilliant addition to any ‘building site’ this ride on digger looks just like the real thing. Our testers couldn’t wait to get to work and we really liked the inclusion of the hard hat – we found that the JCB worked well in soil and bark and also would work well in the sandpit. It was sturdy and withstood a lot of play from our testers!
The children enjoyed engaging in imaginative play, which is great for their creativity and storytelling skills. It also helps to develop their understanding of the world through recreating and making sense of different scenarios. Our testers used lots of building related language as well as positional words (up, down, across etc) whilst playing, which helps to develop their vocabulary. We found it was a little tricky to actually use the scoop function, but this didn’t stop the children enjoying the toy – the children needed to have the required strength, co-ordination and the ability to do two things at once! With practise and perseverance, they could develop these gross motor skills.
