The pack is based on the Let’s Go See Egypt animation, based on topics covered in the UK KS1 syllabus.
The pdf pack gives teachers a chance to show the children the Let’s Go See Egypt animation, learn about ancient Egypt and then perform a school musical play version of the animation to the rest of the school and parents.
The pack contains the script, the music and sound effect files, the Let’s Go See Song and tuition on how to do the Let’s Go See Dance.
It is designed to be fully flexible and inclusive so that every child can take part either in a leading role, additional character role or as part of the dancing choir.
Further schools pack are planned with destinations chosen to embrace global conservation and environmental issues.

What our experts think
This activity pack contains everything teachers, caregivers and children need to put on a musical play of ‘Let’s Go See Egypt’. We found the theme to be very engaging and the children enjoyed talking about the pyramids and learning new facts. Nurturing children’s natural curiosity is a great way to help them learn, and encourages them to share things they know and ask questions about things they don’t know.
Learning the script and planning the performance of the play also made a fun project for children to build confidence and develop important social skills. For example, they used lots of teamwork and listening skills as they negotiated their roles and practiced their parts and the lines that went with it. The children also enjoyed adding some personality of their own to their character, which showed creativity and imagination! Although younger children may struggle with memorising the script, they enjoyed learning the song and taking part in the dance routine to be a part of the show.
