What our experts think

MathsLink cubes are a great way to boost children’s maths learning as they engage them in solving numeracy problems, recognising patterns and visualising shapes. They come with clear instructions and there’s lots of variety in the problems and ideas, meaning children can progress as they get older or increase their skills. Our testers found that the cubes were easy for small hands to fit together and pull apart.

The cubes are helpful for developing children’s understanding of numeracy, as they give them a hands-on way of learning, allowing them to visualise concepts such as addition or subtraction. Encouraging children to recognise and group patterns also helps them to develop the logical thinking skills required to begin to tackle more complex problems in maths.
