  • An Activity Guide with 4 simple, engaging games

Perfect for use at home or in the classroom, the Numberblocks® Dominoes Set encourages hands-on learning while building confidence with numbers.

"Mummy, look I see number 3!" - Girl, aged 3

"I like the funny faces on the dominoes." - Boy, aged 4
Our testers immediately recognised the Numberblocks characters from TV and were excited to start playing with the set. After a quick demonstration of the different ways they could play, the children were keen to have a go on their own. The games encouraged plenty of teamwork, with children happily helping each other with counting, number recognition, addition and more.

The set provided lots of opportunities for practising turn-taking and playing alongside others, making it a lovely social activity. The youngest players were particularly drawn to the bright illustrations, while older children enjoyed spotting different number representations and matching them up. Parents liked that there are lots of different suggestions included in the ideas booklet, which helped to keep the children’s attention over time.

As well as developing maths skills such as counting and subitising (the ability to instantly recognise the number of objects in a small group without having to count them), the set also encouraged problem solving and fine motor control as children manipulated and stacked the dominoes. A fun and educational modern twist on a classic game, with strong play and learning value.
