The Shape Sorter Train was a big hit with our testers. Four different animals with different shaped bases provided challenge and variety. With a little help from an adult, our testers worked out that they had to match the bases to the shapes and colours on each carriage of the train, and quickly learnt to try a different carriage if the animal didn’t fit.
Playing with the train encouraged the children to talk about the different animals and they enjoyed driving the train around, which supports imaginative play.
