What our testers said
“Is everyone ready? Let’s each spin and take it in turns to do our stories.” – Girl, aged 7.

What our experts said
A great game for sparking conversation and getting to know each other better. Minimal adult support was needed, with younger children only really needing help for reading the prompts. Our testers enjoyed sharing their experiences and expressing themselves through the stories they created. Great for developing social and communication skills – as the children listened to each other’s stories, they were introduced to new vocabulary and had conversations exploring different perspectives together.
The emotion spinner added depth to the storytelling, allowing children to explore their feelings in creative ways. As they grew more familiar with the game, children became faster at piecing the prompts together and became more interested in each other’s stories, so waiting for turns was not an issue. Some of the older children added a time limit for making up stories, which encouraged quick thinking and a faster pace.
The children’s confidence grew with each round, and even shy children became animated and eager to join in. With no right or wrong answers, the game created a relaxed environment where children felt comfortable exploring their ideas and expressing themselves.
